Remember the dusk,
Swept by rain,
A simple stroll,
Amorous discourse,
Coyness overwhelmed,
Under a single umbrella!
The rains logged out the city,
We hid in an inn,
Food, drink and repose –
Were served with care!!
The owl hooted,
Perched atop –
A solitary branch!
A cosy romance followed,
A tap on the door,
Stood the hair on our skin –
Curiosity mounted,
Prudence took a back seat!
Unbolted the door,
Four of them entered,
Rifles on waist,
Snatched my beloved –
From my arm!
Teased her,
I screamed,
I shouted,
I was bound,
I was beaten up!
Her scars were dense,
More than me!
Her clothes were tattered,
Endured the pangs,
Ravished she was!
They left,
Weakened my arms,
Took her unconscious body,
To a nearby care!
A vain story was woven,
A toxic tale was narrated,
We both parted –
One on earth,
The other in Heaven!
Never I fell in love again,
Her memories left me-
In an unknown world!
I knew –
I would not reach there,
Death embraced her,
Laid an icy hand on her,
I was alive –
A dreadful living,
A malignant sustenance,
A lifeless existence!!
